When you’re self employed, tax planning throughout the year is a key strategy to alleviate surprises at income tax time. We work with our self-employed clients to ensure they have a handle on the income tax and other obligations owed each year.
Each year we provide our clients with a letter that outlines the tax receipts they provided last year as well as some questions regarding changes we would need to know about. This allows for a bit of a checklist when pulling together your information for tax time. We also have a verbal conversation or in-person meeting to review the paperwork to help ensure you have provided all the documents we need before we start your tax preparation. We aim to treat each tax return as if it were our own.

We Speak CRA —
CRA Issues & Communications
Dealing with the CRA can be a scary thought and the letters they issue can be overwhelming. We are registered with the CRA ‘Represent A Client’ program allowing our clients to provide CRA with authorization for us to work with the CRA directly on their behalf. We have helped hundreds of clients with CRA communications and helped to organize the paperwork, forms and slips necessary when the CRA requests an audit of your tax return.
